Body & Soul. 15th Anniversary Warehouse Party (Brooklyn, July 2011)

September 5th, 2011  |  Published in Features, Performances, Reviews

Body & Soul took their anniversary celebration to Industry City, a warehouse space in Brooklyn, New York. Done perfectly by throwing the party in true old school fashion, we were taken back in time for the evening. Happy Anniversary Body & Soul!

Video Clips below of the party and the live percussion performance from the “Heritage OP” Percussion Orchestra.

While travelling around the warehouse to watch the sunset, we were lucky enough to discover that around the corner, there was a beautiful art installation in the alley way. Speaking with the artist, we learnt that it was to capture the movement of the wind…a visual of the dance of nature; to the rhythm of the beats nearby.

“Wow, it’s hard to believe we have reached the milestone of 15 years in existence. We are so very proud of the family that has been created from this movement we call Body & SOUL.

From humble beginnings at Club Vinyl to now doing live festivals along with Carlos Santana, Pink Floyd, The Police and Coldplay.  So we wanted to do something very different and special for this great occasion.

Therefore we found the most amazing empty warehouse in the Brooklyn area known as Industry City.

We wanted to bring the party back to the roots of how this scene was created. Not in some Glitzy, Glammy club, but in a raw empty wooden warehouse.

We are bringing in our own Sound, Lights, staging, security and even our own bar!!!

The place is quite incredible and to really create the vibe of a community, we are now inviting prospective VENDORS who would be interested in setting up their own stall at the event.”
